Hearts to Homes has eased the transition from foster care to independence for over 650 young adults in New York City, Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Nassau and Suffolk counties. Open Hearts, our largest annual fundraiser, was held at City Winery, a jewel of New York City philanthropic events.

We are pleased to announce that our Open Hearts event raised over $50,000! This will allow us to furnish the first apartments of nearly 25 young adults in need.

We appreciate the generosity of those who sponsored the event, bought a ticket, donated auction items, bid on auction items, helped fill a home and participated in our Heads & Tails game! Thank you also to our volunteers and to the staff at City Winery.

This year, we honored Bob’s Discount Furniture and Bob’s Discount Furniture Charitable Foundation at our Open Hearts event.  Since the very first day of operations, Hearts to Homes has turned to Bob’s to help provide dinette sets, loveseats, chairs, nightstands and coffee tables – furniture essentials for a new home.  Hearts to Homes works on a daily basis with the Bob’s customer care team to give young adults guidance as they take control – for the first time – on designing what their new home will look like.  With financial support provided by Bob’s Discount Furniture Charitable Foundation, every dollar raised is able to be stretched just a little bit farther.  We appreciate not only Bob’s support of our mission but the extension of their foundation’s support to our referring partners as well.
