2026 marks a meaningful milestone for Hearts to Homes. Over the past ten years, we have helped 1,000 young adults aging out of foster care create their first homes by providing essential furnishings and a foundation for stability and independence.

Since founding Hearts to Homes in 2016, Mary Theresa and John McCombe have been more than just leaders; they have been a lifeline, offering the gift of stability to a generation of young people. While their mission began with the essential task of furnishing apartments for young adults, their true impact lies in the unwavering emotional sanctuary they provide. Through Mary Theresa’s visionary leadership as Executive Director and John’s steadfast advocacy, they have transformed the lives of over 1,000 young adults during their most vulnerable transitions. As Mary Theresa prepares for her well-deserved retirement, we celebrate a decade of compassion that has turned empty houses into true homes. We are profoundly grateful for their advocacy, their warmth, and the foundation of hope they have built for our community. Their legacy is not just in the homes they helped build, but in the futures they made possible.
